DEBORA CARITA JOINS THE RIPPAVERSE WITH YAIRA #1

By Andrew Rodriguez

Hello, Rippaverse®!

Yaira #1 was a title that we all knew you wanted the moment that you first laid eyes on her. You practically shouted from the rooftops that you wanted a Yaira book, so we got to work on putting together a stellar team for her solo debut. Your response to the announcement of the Soska Sisters penning the book’s story has been overwhelmingly positive, and you’ve hyped them up even more than they already were for this project!

Now the time has finally come to reveal the interior artist for Yaira #1! Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, we’d like you all to welcome Débora Caritá to the Rippaverse! Débora is a multi-talent and has worked as both an interior artist and colorist for multiple books at DC, Marvel, Dynamite, IDW, Dark Horse, and more, and she’s ready to bring her fantastic work to you in the pages of Yaira

Débora is no stranger to drawing powerful yet feminine characters. Having been an artist on Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris at Dynamite, she’s all too familiar with a character like Yaira, who takes no prisoners and packs a punch to back up her attitude.

Débora had this to say about joining The Rippaverse and her excitement for being the artist on the Soska Sisters’Yaira #1,

“I’ve been working for several years in the American comic book industry for companies like Marvel, Dark Horse, IDW, Dynamite, and several others. But this time, I would like to invite you to join me in a new adventure, this time with The Rippaverse, with the character Yaira! Yaira is an incredible female character that had a script written by the equally incredible Soska Sisters with whom I had the joy and pleasure to work with by drawing and inking their comic. Guys, I’d like to thank everyone on the team and congratulate mainly, of course, Eric July for the initiative and courage that he is having in the comic book industry. Thank you so much!”

We’re so hyped to have a talent like Débora on the team for this book. And we hope you’ll show her the same love you’ve all been so awesome in consistently showing to every single one of the creative talents we’ve brought onto these books so far. Winter is coming…and it’s bringing Yaira with it!

We cannot stress enough the fact that we’re just getting started. Isom #1 was only the beginning; we’re building out a whole new comic book universe that will be fleshed out more and more as we go with more and more characters for you to follow along with and enjoy. We think that will really hit home once you get Chuck Dixon’s Alphacore and the Soska Sisters’ Yaira in your hands.
