The dawn of The Horseman is nearly upon us, and it is already bearing many gifts, like this brand-new animated trailer from your friends at Rippaverse Studios! Keeping true to the strong tradition started during the epic campaign for ISOM #2, The Horseman comes to life in his very own animated trailer. What he lacks in superpowers, Hector Lee Cabellero, more than makes up for in brutality and military expertise, putting the hurt on those who would dare hurt the innocent.
Eric July, the founder and owner of the Rippaverse, is not only bringing excitement and life back into the comic book industry, but he is reigniting North American animation! All Rippaverse animation is now created right here internally through Rippaverse Studios. Isom, The Alphacore, Yaira, Goodyng, and now Horseman have had their incredible comic books all accompanied by action-packed, stunning animated trailers. These animated trailers from Rippaverse Studios have quickly become a fan favorite, and here at the Rippaverse, we aim to always bring enthusiasm to our beloved supporters because they deserve it! Watch The Horseman do what he does best—bring the pain to criminals unlucky enough to find themselves in his way!
The Horseman is a truly original street-level vigilante created by the legendary team Chuck Dixon and Joe Bennett. Chuck Dixon is famous for his character-defining work on The Punisher and the Bat Family, including Batman, Birds of Prey, and Nightwing, as well as Robin. His ability to write multidimensional, well-developed, interesting stories for long runs has made his work iconic in this space. He calls Horseman “a Dollar Store version of Batman, a better-adjusted version of The Punisher.”
Joe Bennett is famous for his sensational work on Spider-Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Elektra, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, which brought these characters to new heights. His work on The Immortal Hulk won Marvel Comics a Diamond Gem award in 2018 for ‘Best New Comic Book Series’ and was nominated for the 2019 Eisner Award for ‘Best New Comic Book Series.’
We last saw Chuck Dixon and Joe Bennett team up for Alphacore #1 for the Rippaverse. Their million-dollar-plus campaign was the first series that came from creatives outside of Rippaverse founder and owner Eric July. It cemented the Rippaverse as one of the most exciting independent companies in comic entertainment today. Fans loved the investigative crime thriller storyline, which explored the dynamics of Alphacore, the Except unit led by Bryan Solari with team members Ingrid Valdez and Jeramya Braxwell, who are newly formed and working with the Florespark Police Force. The artwork leaped off the pages, and Michael Copper & Lilian Ronashi were revealed to be deadly villains with sinister intentions for the city of Florespark.
The Horseman is the next highly anticipated collaboration from the team of Chuck and Joe – it is also their first original character to grace the Rippaverse! Without giving any spoilers away, but knowing the comic book history between these two auteurs, things are about to get BLOODY ON THE STREETS OF FLORESPARK!!!
Slick, militaristic, lethal, and stylish. The design of the Horseman is your first little introduction to who the man behind the mask is. As we get amped up for the Horseman release in September, Rippaverse Studios has released a teaser from the trailer, and that’s not the only surprise we have in store for you. It is the main goal of Eric July to bring fun and excitement back to the fans in the entertainment space, and these animations are a huge part of that.
I’m not one to break NDAs (wink wink, nudge nudge), but some HUGE SURPRISES are still coming from Rippaverse Studios. If you want to be a part of the growth of the studio and the company, consider getting a membership for as low as FIVE BUCKS A MONTH and buying some products from the Rippaverse site. The money that the company makes is reinvested back into the company to make it GREATER!! Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the Rippaverse and all of the newcomers – you are the best fans in the world, and it’s not even close.
KEEP YOUR EYE ON THIS SPACE BECAUSE WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED!!!
