Fans of the band are seen everywhere, even A-listers wearing their band shirt to show off their support. Speaking of Excepts—how could these two band members be mere mortals? Of course, we’re talking about Validan and Takhari, the massive seven-foot frontmen often called gods who walk the earth. Their formidable size, muscular forms, fable-inspired costumes, and undeniable stage presence make it easy to see why fans have elevated them to divine status.
Defying the Music Industry
The mystery behind Norfrica only adds to their lore. They made headlines when they very publicly turned down a contract from star-making uber label, Copper Records, stating they would not “work with evil men.” Owner Michael Copper responded with bravado, but the band’s Validan and Takhari quickly dismissed the idea of ever joining. To this day, Norfrica has never played with Copper Records’ artists—further solidifying their image as uncompromising and fiercely independent.
Hardest Working Band in the World
One of the hardest-working acts in music, Norfrica has toured the globe, performing everywhere from stadiums to dive bars. They carry no ego about where they play, keeping fans guessing where they’ll appear next. The band rarely shares details about their process, insisting they prefer to “let the music speak for itself.”
