The Rippaverse Team was at Fan Expo Denver this past weekend, and it was a MEGA SUCCESSFUL EVENT!!! Who was in attendance? Of course, Rippaverse Founder and Owner, top creative of the company, THE Eric D July, who connected with fans who came to meet the man in person! With him were Rippaverse team members – Operations Manager Brandon Taylor, Executive Assistant Carrow Brown, Financial Operations Manager Alex Miller, Customer Relations Manager Kara Lynn, Creative Manager Andrew Rodriguez, and Community Manager Sheepsidian. Writers for Yaira & Bloodruth, The Soska Sisters, were in attendance alongside legendary writer Mike Baron.
But looks like Cato Goodyng was a no-show. But the rumored villain from GOODYNG: THE POLYMATH, Splatterpuss, was THERE! All weekend – from open til close. Meeting his new fans with a friendly handshake.
“It’s a shame Cato wasn’t able to attend. I’ve known him for years – and this kind of thing is typical. Imagine if you bought into his wildly overpriced ‘Goodyng Services’ and he did not show up. Tsk tsk. What a #@&&@%,” Splatterpuss mused to the crowd
Mike Baron is of course, known as being the first writer on the Punisher solo series for Marvel. DC Comics fans would remember his work on Volume 2 of the Flash series. His original works like Nexus, Badger, and Florida Man have proven time and again that no one writes like Mike Baron. When Mike and Eric July spoke on his YouTube channel, Mike expressed an interest in writing for the Rippaverse. His first story for the Rippaverse is GOODYNG: THE POLYMATH, a 76-page book for as low as $18!
“They didn’t put a sticker on the cover that it’s my first issue,” said Splatterpuss, “But I was mentioned when Mike and Rippa were talking about the book. I don’t blame him. I’d be pretty excited about me being in the book, too.”
Friends of the Rippaverse, Star Wars Theory, and Jay ‘Drunk 3PO’ David were also signing at the booth and meeting fans. Theory was giving out some of his killer lightsabers to the fans while Jay sold copies of his book, Achromatic Chronicles: Blue – available through RippaSend!
Very cool getting to meet all of you! It’s impossible not to feel inspired after getting face time with you all, from fan artist Ethan White to mikehasbadknees to Number Three, aka Steve Brown, to Green Haired Anti-Liberal to Jeetspool – y’all are the greatest human beings & it’s a privilege to get to connect with you!
