Back by popular demand from Rippaverse Publishing is RippaZine #2. This magazine is a perfect entry point for those just learning about Rippaverse Comics with book previews of our latest releases or for seasoned fans who wish to dive into the lore of our ever-expanding comic book universe. The RippaZine is a collaborative effort between the many creatives here at Rippaverse Publishing. And with a rapidly growing cast of characters and creators in our stable, we feel there’s something within these pages for everyone. There are in-universe articles and observations from the perspective of some of our characters, interviews with characters and creators, and more! The Collector’s Edition cover for RippaZine #2 has a metallic treatment and features art of our newest femme fatale, Saoirse, by Caanan White, with colors by Marcos Martins.
The purpose of the RippaZine is to bring the fun back to being a comic book fan. This zine is bursting at the seams with over 50 pages of content from cover to cover. Caanan White, one of the best artists the comic industry has ever seen, brings his mastercraftsman skills to captivate your eyes with his beautiful illustrations throughout the book, and he even shares some of his tricks of the trade with you in his featured art tutorial.
Rippaverse fans had a strong positive response to RippaZine #1’s short story, “Salvage P.I.,” written by Eric July and illustrated by Bart Sears. Eric has teamed up with Rippaverse Art Director Caanan White to introduce another new character to the Rippaverse, the beautiful femme fatale Saoirse, in yet another brand-new, original short story. “Saoirse” is 16 pages of gorgeous Caanan White artwork colored by Wilson Go, with a story sure to intrigue. If you want to learn more about Saoirse, you’ll have to get your hands on RippaZine #2. The RippaZine is a great opportunity and proving ground for new characters, and we think you’ll love Saoirse. What Rippaverse events will we see from “A Bird’s Eye View” this time? Fans of our feathered friends are in for a treat with the return of the Pigeonverse strip.
Rippaverse writers, editors, and loremasters, the Soska Sisters, interview a titan in the YouTube sphere, the man of one million subscribers, Gary “Nerdrotic,” for our RippaZine readers. In his interview, Gary speaks at length about his comic book journey and his foray into YouTube. Nerdrotic also regales the readers with insight into some of his lesser-known hobbies, chilling tales, and heartfelt advice for those struggling with addiction.
Lilian Ronashi and Michael Copper, the devilish villain duo of the Rippaverse, grace our readers with their presence and the return of their gossip and gentlemen’s tips segments. Lilian leverages the inside scoop she receives from her circles and will spill some tea into any ears willing to sit with her on many of Florespark’s denizens. Michael walks a path far from that of the angels and is more than happy to spread chaos with his “advice” in navigating the world. The advice of these cruel villains may not be what you want to follow, but knowledge is power and insight into their personalities and intentions couldn’t hurt.
Tastebuds and stomachs alike know that nothing can compare with a lovingly made home-cooked meal. The recipe in this issue’s edition of Harriet’s Kitchen is no exception and is sure to bring yet another delectable delight to your senses.
“Goodyng: The Polymath” is Mike Baron and Will Conrad’s smash-hit solo out for the Florespark genius inventor and entrepreneur Cato Goodyng, and he’s the person of interest for this issue’s Character Spotlight. In this segment, you’ll get insight into the self-made man and be treated to a stunning illustration by Caanan White and colored by “Yaira #1” colorist J. Brown.
